“Racism!” “White Supremacy!”: Be very careful with such incendiary language

I believe that the United States is on the verge of a civil war caused almost exclusively by irresponsible politicians and the so-called mainstream media.

Recent mass shootings in that country have turned the volume up, once again, for new laws to stop gun violence.  Some common sense suggestions have been made, such as background checks taking place before a person can purchase a gun.  No one in their right mind would want a free-for-all when it comes to purchasing guns of any kind.  But that is the present situation in in the United States.

Gun activists such as the National Rifle Association (NRA) hang their hats on the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution, which states  citizens have the right to bear arms. So far this organization and its members have been very successful in protecting gun rights and the aforesaid right to own such weapons.  How long this “success” will last is anyone’s guess.  One thing is for sure: any attempt to rein in gun ownership without the NRA’s blessing will be met by a Court challenge, which will go ultimately to the Supreme Court of the United States.

I would suspect that the membership of the NRA is made up primarily of law-abiding white men, many of whom are recreational hunters who love their guns.  These lads are now portrayed as bad people as a result of some crazy people buying guns and shooting their fellow citizens. The real truth is that blacks in the United States kill far more people with guns than whites do.  Unfortunately, blacks kill more blacks and, for some strange reason, the so-called mainstream media give these killers, and this ongoing inner city lawlessness, a pass.  The cities in the United States where the problems are the worst are, invariably, governed by Democrats, many of whom are black.  The criminals within the predominantly black communities would never be called “Black Supremacists.”  Such an allegation, although truthful, would be met by a chorus of “Racist!”

Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson wouldn’t stand for that.  And by the way, what a pathetic pair of charlatans to be spokespersons for an entire race of people!  The reality is that these two guys have done more to harm the black race than any ten alleged “white supremacists” ever did. Educated black Americans know these two buffoons for what they are, but Sharpton and Jackson sidestep educated members of the black community and direct their attention and misplaced influence on uneducated, gullible community members.  The language emanating from Sharpton and Jackson is vitriol designed to incite those folks who are vulnerable to their hate speech.  Clearly these two are national trouble makers and have been for a very long time.

As far as Sharpton and Jackson are concerned, any criticism of a black person, regardless of how justified that criticism might be, is, in their view, racist.   And once you call someone a racist, what is the appropriate response?  The question, “When did you stop beating your wife?” has as much intellectual substance.  It has become forbidden to criticize a person of colour, regardless of what it is they might say or do.  And this divide, where a minority is holding the majority hostage, simply cannot endure without some form of blow-back.  And the blow-back may not be pleasant for those who have acted in an irresponsible  manner and incited violence.

Today in the United States, following on the heels of the above-mentioned shootings, one party and its media supporters are trying their level best to incite hatred against President Trump. People who should know better are calling him a racist and a white supremacist.  There is no evidence that I am aware of that he is either.  In fact, people who know him well state that in their opinion, Donald Trump does not have a racist bone in his body.  But that fact is totally unacceptable to those who, simply stated, hate the President and there is absolutely nothing he can do or say to change their minds.

I will tell you one thing: should this outrageous, dangerous rhetoric amongst too many Democrats and the crazies on CNN and MSNBC  result in physical harm to the President or worse, I fear that the civil war I mentioned in the first paragraph of this blog will come to pass.  If it does, some of the loudest, most vocal, most over-the-top, most reckless with their incendiary language and baseless allegations against a legally elected president, will not enjoy the aftermath.
